 Description

As the Internet becomes more and more popular there is a greater and greater need for people who are able to create HTML web pages. There are many WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editors available for that purpose. Using these editors you are able to create web pages or the whole websites and see what the end result will look like while the documents are being created yet before you publish them.

However sometimes there is a need for creating a web page in a plain text file. You create a table, write some text, add a link to some graphic file, etc. Now you want to change the color of text that will be later displayed on your web page. And now there is a problem. In WYSIWYG editor you can just select the desired color for your font from some predefined color palette but in a plain text file you do not have such possibility. Moreover all guidelines on the Internet say that the use of HTML elements and attributes for specifying color is deprecated. You should use style sheets instead.

And that's the main reason why we have created a set of collections that are going to teach you HTML color names and their corresponding hexadecimal values.

  • The series starts with HTML Color Names for Webmasters Core collection. The collection contains the basic 16 HTML color names and their hexadecimal values. For example Red or Green
  • ,
  • The next collection - HTML Color Names for Webmasters Standard - except the basic 16 colors is going to teach you over 30 another colors that can enhance your HTML documents and give them more professional look. The exemplary colors that can be find there are: Chocolate, Orchid, Gold, Indigo, or Turquoise
  • ,
  • The collection that contains the largest number of items is HTML Color Names for Webmasters Extended. This collection contains all material from above two collections as well as over new 90 HTML color names and their hexadecimal values what gives over 140 colors!!! Many of these colors have been created by mixing simple colors for example: YellowGreen or VioletRed. There is also a group of colors with different tones: DarkGreen, LightGreen, or ForestGreen as well as some other colors: SteelBlue, SandyBrown, or GoldenRod
  • .
These collections are the best choice for all webmasters who just begin their adventure with webmastering and do not have yet any knowledge about color naming in HTML documents.
