 Description

The collection contains all server response codes, which can be returned by web servers to indicate the status of a request.
Some of them are silent, what means that you do not see them, others are displayed by your browser during your Internet surfing. Good example is probably the most common status code, 404 (Not Found), which is displayed when your browser cannot locate the document corresponding to the URL you entered.

The status code is a 3-digit code indicating the particular response. The first digit of this code identifies the class of the status code. The remaining 2 digits correspond to the specific condition within the response class. The codes are divided into 5 categories:

  • 1xx: Informational
  • 2xx: Successful
  • 3xx: Redirection
  • 4xx: Client Error
  • 5xx: Server Error
