The Window submenu on the main menu provides the following options:
- Toolbars - define which toolbars are
visible
- All - show or hide the toolbars window (Ctrl+Alt+F11)
- Tools - show or hide the Tools
toolbar
- Actions - show or hide the Actions
toolbar
- Time - show or hide the Time
toolbar
- Compose - show or hide the Compose
toolbar
- Edit - show or hide the Edit
toolbar
- Status bar - show or hide the status bar
- Background - show or hide the background
behind windows used by SuperMemo (to minimize distraction caused by underlying
application)
- Hints - turn on or turn off displaying
button and menu hints
- Select
- Category - select the category combo-box on
the Tools toolbar
- Tasklist - select the tasklist combo-box on
the Tools toolbar
- Date - select date picker on the Time
toolbar
- Next window - activate the next window on
the SuperMemo desktop (Ctrl+F6)
- Layout - windows layout management
- Apply layout - arrange windows on SuperMemo
desktop using a given layout
- Apply default layout - restore windows
layout last saved with Layout : Save layout : Save as default (below)
- Classic - arrange
windows in the manner known from early versions of SuperMemo,
i.e. with statistics windows conveniently aligned with the element window. This arrangement is useful when you make
repetitions and like to constantly follow the progress of learning. You can make this
layout permanent with Layout : Save layout : Save as default (below). You
can also make SuperMemo arrange windows in this manner only at the entry to repetitions.

You can quickly apply the classic layout with F5
- Save layout - save a windows layout for
later use
- Save custom layout - save the current
layout under a selected name
- Save as default - save the current layout
of windows as your default layout. Each time you enter SuperMemo, this layout will be used
- Make default - choose a layout that should
become the default layout (i.e. the layout that is use when you first start SuperMemo)
- Delete layout - delete a selected windows
layout saved earlier with Save layout. You can also delete all custom
layouts at once
- 1-9 - choose one of up to nine custom
layouts defined by the user
